Social photography in Scotland.
Duncan is a social photographer, specialising in weddings and portraits, based near Edinburgh and covering East Central Scotland. He is a member of SWPP, the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.
His interest in photography started as a child when his grandfather gave him an old 35mm film camera, a Voigtlander Vito B, dating from 1958. This completely manual camera gave a good grounding in the essentials of judging exposure settings. He has been taking photographs for some 30 years now, during which time he has progressed from photography being a personal passion to something which is of commercial quality.
Inspiration comes from images that range from the Victorian Roger Fenton through to the more modern influences of Larry Sultan. Duncan′s style draws upon traditional elements such as black and white photography, and at the other extreme the use of punchy colours reminiscent of old style transparencies. He looks to deliver this in a fresh and contemporary way using the latest digital techniques.
Working with Duncan you will see a strong desire to get things just right, to give attention to detail and to seek continuous improvement but at the same time to to present things in as relaxed a manner as possible and to maintain a sense of humour and perspective.
Outside photography a love of Scottish landscapes and walking combine in the pastime of Geocaching. His home is shared with a Siamese cat (who often manages to get a paw in shot).

If you require a female to be available during a session for any reason, say for a boudoir shoot then this is an option.
